Tofu skin salad --------------- :term:`Easy`, :term:`Vegetarian`, :term:`One pot` Source: Jingwen via :cite:cts:`xiachufang:tofuskin`. .. image:: /graphics/tofu_skin_salad.jpg :width: 40% :align: center Ingredients ^^^^^^^^^^^ * :term:`Tofu` skins, the kind that is found in the fresh section and comes in sheets * :term:`Carrot` * :term:`Bell pepper` or :term:`chinese green pepper` * Sweet :term:`onion` * :term:`Cilantro` and :term:`green onion` for garnishing For the sauce: * 1 clove of :term:`garlic`, minced * ½ tablespoon :term:`sesame oil` * 1 tablespoon chinese balck :term:`vinegar` * 1 tablespoon :term:`oyster sauce` * 2 tablespoons :term:`soy sauce` * ½ tablespoon pickled :term:`chilli pepper` (if you have it) * ½ tablespoon :term:`dry chilli` * :term:`Sesame seeds` Steps ^^^^^ Split the tofu sheets, and cut them into strips, sort of like linguine. Blanch for 2 minutes, then let it dry out. Cut the vegetables into thin strips. If you don't like the vegetables raw, stir fry them a bit then set aside. Heat up some oil and pour it over the garlic, sesame seeds and chilli. Let it cool, then mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Toss everything together in a big bowl, and top with some cilantro and green onion.
