Add them to a pot with some oil and fry until the tomato falls apart. Add water and bring it to a boil. Season with a tablespoon (or two) of soy sauce, black pepper, and some :term:`dashi`. Add the noodles and press them down. Add the pickled vegetables and crack in an egg. Simmer until the egg white is set, then garnish with the green part of a green onion. .. note:: You can eat directly from the pot if you want to be faithful to the original author.
